Time management was the most difficult.  I keep getting sucked in and spend more time in this class than any other.  I am not the best organized so I even spend more time on things.

2. What do you think was easiest?

Creating the game was the easiest.  I am always thinking and creating and I love to think up new things and start from scratch so this was very easy to me. 

3. What did you learn about working in teams with peers?

I do not know what I learned yet.  I may be too pushy because I really struggled getting a response out of my teams.

4. What was most challenging about working with peers at a distance?

Communication was the most challenging.  I sent hundreds of e-mails to my partners and only got a handful of responses.  I think that I may have overwhelmed my partners.

5. What was helpful about working with a team?

I was able to push some of the projects off to my team so I did not have to do everything which was helpful with the amount of assignments due in this course.

6. What was most challenging about working for a client?

I do not know what this questions means.  I didn’t work for a client for this class.  Past history says that a client is much like the instructor and it is difficult to know exactly what the instructor wants.  Sometimes, you put a lot of time and energy in a project and it is not what the client wants, the same goes for an instructor. 

7. What did you learn about communication using technology tools?

I learned how to blog and organize files into excel which has been a lifesaver when it comes to organization.  I will use this again in the future if I am dealing with a lot of information at one time.

8. What were your favorite technolgy tools to use? Least favorite? Why?

My favorite technology tool to use is good ole e-mail and google searching.  I can communicate easily in my time and if I need to know something then it is at the click of a mouse.

9. What do you feel you learned in this course about solving problems?

I learned to look at the big picture first and then narrow down to the details.

10. What would you do differenly if you could take the course again?

I would spend less time on all the details but would look at the big picture first.

I enjoy playing card games and my favorite is spades.  I have taught my 6 year old to play so often my 11 year old, 6 year old and myself play cards together.  I also enjoy playing cards with my husband and another couple.  I play cards to socialize and spend time with family and friends.  Other people like to play video games and other games games that test their skill in completing a task or puzzle.  Most people play games to challenge themselves, entertain and pass time. My evidence is the gaming market.  For example, I purchased a wii for my children for Christmas and was unable to find one store that had them in stock.  I had to find one on e-bay and pay more than the game was designed to cost in order to meet the demand from my children.  This is proof enough to me that many children like to play games.  If they were not entertaining or challenging then most people would not want to spend the time to play them.  I hope this information helps out any of my readers.  Do you have any comments on this subject?

As far as where are the associates….My guess is that they are all sitting at their cozy computers visiting cyberspace.  I think that they are really not missing but are all pretending to be missing. 

In regard to the disease, they are collaborating on the United Nations goals for preventable disease.  I am not sure if they are just working on one or not.  I noticed stuff about hunger in Idaho, Aids in Africa and some problems in China.

Looks like I answered this question in my previous post.  Again I will say, I use word and Internet most and currently for school.  I did have a business from home for 7 years (medical transcription) where I worked on my computer day and night typing (and researching medical terms online) for doctors.  I am so happy to be at school and no longer just typing.  

What do I think is going on right now? What am I using to try to make sense of it? Am I taking notes? Am I communicating with others? What clues do I have and what do I think they mean?

I think that there are lots of things going on but I will keep most of my suspicions private.  I do not want anyone catching my lead online.   I plan to research everyone’s blogs to see if they give up any important information.  I have communicated with others, like my teammates.  I have also communicated with Walter and hope to communicate with others soon.  Hopefully it will not affect my grade by not revealing clues.  It will be in my report to Walter.  If anyone in the internet world wants to know the clues that I have found then they will need to hack into Walter’s computer and look at my reports.

I can remember the days that the library was for books and that is where you did your research.  Now, research can be done in the comfort of your home with little physical exertion at all.  I don’t even pick up a phone book to locate a phone number.  Thanks to technology, it is a touch of a button on my phone or computer, I can find anyone or anything than I need. 

Privacy is an issue that could be changed in the technology world.  With everyone’s personal information readily available, it would be very easy to commit identity fraud.  Even a student could have their GPA jeopardized if someone were to go to college and disguise themself with the student’s identity.   Dependence on technology has also made it hard for people to react to life in general with out their cell phones.  Comments like “I couldn’t live without my cell phone” are common in everyday life.  I am sure that teachers and instructors would also prefer that the technology wasn’t so advance when it comes to getting the students full attention in class while they are simultaneously texting, e-mailing or surfing the web during class. 

Learning is so much better with technology.  As mentioned above, research is instant.  Another benefit is online notes and resources that can be downloaded from blackboard.  That is so much better.  The powerpoints keep the student focussed and is easy to put together.  This all makes learning easier for many students.

I use Microsoft word most on my computer.  I love to write and I can sit down and write and revise and copy and paste and work.  I have also gotten very familiar with the internet, for mostly school-related searches and e-mails.  My only problem is the amount of time involved in learning what all the internet has to offer.

If we were to go out to eat together as a team then we would need to go to a multicultural buffet.  I would stop by the Italian section and have some authentic Italian Lasagna.  My teammate Robert would be having the fajitas but would not be satisfied with the simple Texmex style fajitas.  He needs the authentic Mexican fajitas to keep him happy.  As for my partner Patrick, he wants American all the way with a nice, jucy ribeye steak. 

I am certain that our multicultural tastes in food will give us an advantage in this game and we are going to win this game!!!

I hope to learn efficiency and competency in working on the computer.  I have worked on computers in word programs for quite some time.  I can search the internet pretty good.  My problem is time management.  I want to avoid being distracted and addicted on the internet and maybe I will learn how to avoid that problem in this course. 

It will be nice to learn the new advances in the computer world.  I am excited to find out what other technical things I will learn as I continue in this course.  Hopefully this will be a class that I will remember as a course that was well worth my money and that it will help me in my professional career. 

I am also looking forward to having getting to know my teammates better and working to solve problems and discover this (ARG) called the broken window and then advancing to create my own game.
